Hi,
I have a KD-55A1 OLED tv, a DN1080 amp, and a Panasonic dvd recorder.
I am ditching Virgin Media tv and using the Freview on my tv. I need a programme recording device so have looked at a hard drive but I believe there are dvd players that are capable of this and I could update to a 4k version.
Advice appreciated.
Hi there,

Thank you
Recording to DVD is really inconvenient these days. I would opt for a separate HDD recorder tbh to give you flexibility, and a if you must have DVD playback then a separate player.
The Humax 2000T looks interesting although I haven't tried one. This is the data sheet:
I still use an older Sony RDR-HXD870 which is unrivalled for its editing options... and one of the best bits of kit Sony ever produced imo. I also use a 64Gb flash drive for quick recording of HD freeview material which the Sony recorder can not do.
Many thanks will look at that
