KDL-W805A molded plug void the warranty

Hi can some one tell me if I remove the molded plug and replace it with another, will it void the warranty...Thanks

Its a modification so technically yes and we would not encourage anyone to adjust the power cable in this way. Could you not use an extension cable or something similar?

The problem I have is the W8 is an insurance replacement for my last sony lcd which had a power cable that also plugged into the tv end. As my old tv was wall mounted and cables concealed in conduit this wasn't a problem. The new tv doesn't have enough room between the wall and tv for an extension cable.
