Beeps and black screen

Hi

I have a sony vaio VGN-FZ31M laptop that has given up on me, when I try and turn it on I get a bleeping noise and the screen is just black.

I have been looking on a few forums and tried everything, removed the RAM and tried to turn it on, removed the battery and reseated the hard drive I still keep getting the same problem.

Is there anything else you can recomend?

How many bleeps do you hear?  The BIOS gives a code of what the hardware problem is.

I suspect you may have a video chip problem.  If your Vaio is less than 4 years old you may find this of interest: -
