Can't create a recovery disk

Hi - Can anyone help?
I just bought my Vaio FW21E a few days ago and haven't done too much with it as I wanted to Create Recovery Disks in the VAIO Recovery Center first. However I had to cancel out as it looked like the recovery process had hung. It had got to 17% when I cancelled. I wiped that disk and bought new ones. But the next time I clicked Start on Create Recovery Disks I got the following message:

"Cannot find the recovery drive. If you have not removed the recovery drive, restarting the system may correct the issue."

I have tried restarting and done diagnostics on the system with no errors. Any ideas?
Cheers,
Tara.
