Can’t create Recovery Disks..... Vaio VGN

I have recently received a Vaio VGN NS10L and when I launch The Vaio Recovery Center software and click on Create Recovery Discs, a WINDOWS message comes up saying the Recovery Center has stopped working, and I have to close the program. I have tried other features in the Recovery Centre (ie VAIO Hardware diagnostics) and I get the same message.

Any ideas or a workaround????

Thanks

Barry

Hi Barry,

welcome to Club VAIO..

Sounds like a problem with the Vaio recovery utility, unfortunately the only way to reinstall this application is to do a full system recovery.. :slight_frown:

To do this Start your Vaio and when you see the Vaio logo screen press F10 repeatedly this normally should start the recovery process..

However I suggest you contact Sony Vaio support first, you can do this either by phone (Mon-Fri) or via e-Support, use the following link to find the contact details: Sony Vaio Support
