What are the SonyNC and SonyImgF drivers are actually used for???

I've successfully downgraded my FZ21s back to XP. I mostly used the FTP link on here for the FZ19 and FZ29 drivers however I recently found a link to VGN-FZ2-Drivers on the Sony-Asia site.

I'm just stumped as to what these 2 drivers are for:

SonyNC
SonyImgF

Can anyone help explain as I'm loathed to install them until I know what they do.

Hi Steve,

as far as I can remember..

SonyNC - Sony Notebook Control are required for Battery Check Utility, HotKey Utility, etc.

SonyImgF - Sony Image Filter is required for the web camera..

I guess if everything is working on your FZ to your satisfaction then it's upto you whether you need to install these utilities..
