Cannot display DVD movie content on second monitor

I've got a problem displaying DVD movie content on an external monitor or multi-media projector. I can't locate any previous threads on this.

My laptops a PCG-FR415S running XPpro SP2.

I can display everything on the monitor/projector connected to the RGB port, including the media player control bar, but no movie even though its showing on the laptop screen.

This problem happens with all my players - Win Media Player 10 &11, Cyberlink Power DVD and ACDSee media player.

The only info I've found so far is a MSoft KB entry for WMP 7 which says there's a problem caused by NetMeeting but I've not got NM installed.

Any suggestions?

Just checked a couple of mpeg files and a .mov file. The .mov file content displays OK but not the mpeg stuff.
