Hi Guys, I have successfully installed Windows7 64 bit on my FE28h and have everything working except the webcam. I have tried the FE3 and FE4 drivers from the Sony support site, and various Ricoh drivers without success. Any ideas?
The webcam driver is the same for ALL versions of Windows - so you need the original camera driver supplied with your Vaio. You can download the Original Drivers Package from here: -
http://support.vaio.sony.eu/computing/vaio/downloads/preinstalled/index.aspx?l=en_GB&m=VGN-FE28H
As you have installed a 64-bit version of Windows, you need to run the 64-bit installer.
Download the Original Drivers Package
Right-click on the downloaded .ZIP file
Choose 'Extract All' and extract to somewhere you can find the files (C:\XPDrivers)
Open the folder marked Camera and run the 64-bit installer by double clicking on it - DPInst64.exe
Hmm, there is no 64bit driver in the FE28 drivers. There is a DPInst64.exe in the FE4x drivers, should I try this?
