VAIO doesn't work

Hi,

I have a Sony VAIO laptop, y series, with operating system Windows 7 home prem OA 32 bit

When I press ASSIST button, I have a black screen, with white and dark vertical stripes, also I can not boot windows 7.

Can you help me please!!!!

What shall I do???

Exactly what happens when you try to boot into Windows?

Do you see the Vaio splash screen?

Do you get any error messages?

Do any lights come on and can you hear the hard disc or fan working?

Did this happen suddenly or have there been any warnings in the past?

Have you dropped it?
