Vaio inverter break downs and replacements.

right, a while ago i came on here and winged about how my vaio k315s's display had stopped working when windows loads.

i found out from a guy in the yellow pages that it was the inverter in the monitor and it happens all the time with vaios (thats rubbish quite frankly, especially just as the warantey runs out, hmmm) so i want to know if anyone else has had this problem and what they did about it.

i waited nearlt two months for a inverter to be shipped over from america so this guy could fit it and when it did it was the wrong one or didnt work. sony would not let on as to what was the correct inverter for my model and that only three types were available anyway.

if this has happened to anyone and they solved the problem please let me know so i can solve it to and if they havent then something needs to be done about it cause its <profanity removed by moderator> on soyns part really.

They do not list your exact model but they do have

in their spare parts list.

EDIT: I see they have Basingstoke, Salisbury and Portsmouth listed at the bottom of the page - not sure what this means though. Best phone the London number.
