vaio to samsung

hi all trying to link my vaio to my samsung lcd with the moniter cable but does not work, when my friend put his non vaio lap top on my samsung with same cable it works and then so does mine but when i turn off tv i cant get mine to work , mine will only work if i put a non vaio lap top on first,

Hi lillog, welcome to CV.

This is a known issue that is specific to Vaio & some Samsung monitors, take a look here for a couple of possible fixes.
