vaioVPCS12V9E/B stopped display

Gues what my vaioVPCS12V9E/B stopped  display unfortunatley. It's three months old  and display gone grey stripes I was unable to see anything  I sent for repair to sony ofcourse, because  I can't return this to retailer.

Hi I bought my Vaio Around same time mine has now come up with a message the hard drive needs repairing or changing ,after spending £ 1300 i think this is quite rediculous and bad from Sony, i am under warranty but this is my second laptop being changed i think i will look at APPLE MAC surel.y they give a better service and product .i reckon SONY are going down hill

Hi vinni1234,

I think you will find the same makes of hard drives are used in the laptops of all manufacturers and are very reliable these days.

However, they are still susceptible to physical damage from time to time - or perhaps you have been unlucky.

No Apple don't give a better service.  Just as bad and charge more.  Not only that, they'll replace standard screws for security ones to stop you doing any upgrades/repairs yourself or by a 3rd party.  Forcing you to pay Apple stupid amounts for them to do it.

Agreed. Apple are probably the worst for service and wanting to make the most money out of nothing. They aren't ones for being customer friendly. Saying this Sony are getting to the same standard unfortunatly.

Believe it or not, the best service comes from smaller brands, but you do get the draw back of a product that generally isn't as good.
