Hi does anyone know where I can find a replacement keyboard for a VGN-Z21WN ?

I can find nothing using Google anywhere.

Have you tried asking Vaio Support if they will sell you one?  Long shot, but worth a try.

Called Sony earlier, as usual they are unable to source their own parts.

Hi Mike,

Sony DO, on occasions, sell spare parts direct to customers but I guess if Sony support will not not sell the keyboard & other parts you require & suggest that repairs should be undertaken by a Sony  authorised repair partners then I guess this is because not everyone is capable of doing the  repair & or in doing so could possibly cause further damage to your Vaio. Furthermore I guess  if Sony do sell you the part directly it could cause liability  problems..

Best option I guess is to contact one of the Sony repair partners & ask them for a quote to supply & fit the parts you require..

I'll get the service manual and parts from an authorized dealer then.

I'm not concerned about liability issues, other manufacturers seem to have the ability to deal with it.

Hi Mike,

Sony won't source their own parts. They never have done and never will do. They make too much money getting your laptop in for a repair and repairing that way for such an excessive fee.
