I have a Sony VAIO VPCF13MOE laptop with its original HDD. I want to swap it for a new SSD. I have searched everywhere to find what SATA version this laptop is but I cannot find it anywhere. Does anyone know what SATA version it is or where I can find this out?

Hi MowingBar and welcome.
You can find the specifications for your model here: -
https://www.sony.co.uk/support/en/content/cnt-specs/VPCF13M0E/list
Your Vaio has the Mobile Intel PM55 Chipset which is SATA II (3gb/s) capable.
You can check your hardware specifications by using this free HWINFO utility: -

It works for 32 and 64-bit systems and is very quick to download and install - I would stick to the C-Net version.
EDIT: Afternoon Rich - you beat me to it as usual! The Crucial SSDs are SATA III but they will work OK as SATA is always backward compatible.
Hi @MowingBar
I can't tell you the SATA version of your model but Crucial sell SSD's that they guarantee are compatible.
