I've just been using Windows Vista RTM. I decided to purchase a 1GB memory stick pro duo memory card, which fits into the slot on my FE21M laptop. The reason for my purchase was to use Windows Vista's Readyboost technology to speed up my PC.
My first mistake was buying a 1GB card. The minimum size card for Windows Readyboost is 1GB. As the formatted size of my 1GB is in fact 970MB, the card isn't large enough to use Readyboost. However, I found the website below, which tells you how to enable a card for Readyboost, which does not meet Vista's requirements:

I followed the instructions and got Readyboost to work on the memory card. I found that the card gave me a significant boost in performance in situations where the hard disk was being used a lot. For example, starting up programs and defragmenting.
