Auto Time Set - ICF-C1 FM/AM Alarm Clock - How does it work?

I bought an ICF-C1 alarm clock which should automatically set the time. It doesn't seem to work. Does anyone know if:

1) It uses the "Rugby Clock" transmitting on 60Kh or 77Kh OR

2) Use the data embedded in the radio signal?

Something else...

I don't think it can. Depends of coontries and clocks but nowdays only radio that supports DAB can by using the DAB time flag.

Even car clock can't synch anymore with FM in many countries now
