Hi community.
I have just purchased a new WM port to 3.5mm stereo jack (as the old one was damaged) to connect my NW ZX100 to my FIIO Q5s and to my surprise the volume level is markedly lower with this new cable than with the older one. I have two questions.
1. Has anyone experienced this type of issue before?
2. Does the lower volume level mean that the cable could be damaged in some way?
Many Thanks.
Mark.

Hi Mark,
Most likely the new cable has a higher resistance than the old one.
Is it the same original cable or a replacement cable?
If it's an original cable, then it might be defect.
Cheers
Peter

Thank you for your answer Peter, your answer makes sense. The new cable is a different brand from the older one so i accept your answer as a solution.
