Hi there,
I tried to open the camera o my XA2 one day and my phone crashed. It is now stuck in a 'loop' when I try to boot it up, and cannot get passed the 'SONY' screen. Thankfully my phone is under warranty, as it is only six weeks old.
However, I am keen to attempt to import my photos before sending my device away for repairs. My PC still recognises my SONY XA2 as a device when plugged in, however it says files cannot be imported as the device is locked. Is there any way aroud this?
Hi @Danceyrselfclean, sorry to hear about this.
In order for a computer to get access to the files, at least with the services that we offer, the display needs to be started up and unlocked, other wise the computer will not be able to access the files on the internal storage.
If you have an SD card, you may have set it up so the photos and videos are automatically saved to this card and you can also take a look at the link below (login with the same Google account you have in the device) to see if you have setup the automatic backup using Google Photos.

Regarding the bootloop, could you try removing your SIM and/or SD cards from the device and see if you are able to boot it up correctly? Should there be no change and you have access to a computer, you can perform a software repair using Xperia Companion. This will delete all data from the internal storage of the device, and since it can't be started up correctly, you will not be able to do a backup.
Let me know if that helps!
Maybe Bitwar Data Recovery can help you solve the problem and recover your data. It's easy to use and provides a 30-days free trial, so you can have a try.
