Docking station for Z1

have a Z1 and Sony say docking station for Z Ultra is not compatable ? yet o2 guru says it is? I purchased it from o2 and I have opened and used station with insert for Z1 and it charges and works fine .... do you think I will suffer any long term damage ??

Using the dock for Z Ultra will not damage your phone but the phone doesn't fit as good in it as it does in the dock made for Z1.
