Screen problem with Z2 will no longer auto rotate

Had this phone less than 2 weeks, auto rotate worked fine.

it will not work with any of the features on the phone now, even with it switched on.

 Tried an app from the app store , this works fine.

Will somebody from Sony give me an answer?

Im having this same problem tried resetting the tablet etc

no luck

the OS Im running is 4.4.2   build number 10.5.A.0.230  (no further updates are found)

this is bad news for sony as we already have the z2 phone that constantly freezes and locks up.....they may well send us back too Samsung/ Apple

Your Build number is very old, did you use PC Companion App to check for updates?

Hey yes i tried pc companion and it says it is the latest and yes it is the tablet i realised this was the phone area afterwards (google pointed to the page)

I have had this exact problem....

I have had my Phone two months and one day the auto rotate just stopped... two weeks ago so anoying trying to show photos as it doesn't spin

It is switched on in the settings, have tried safe mode, any other ideas

Wishing just got another I phone cause although android is so much better through 4 and 5 series never had issues in use

Help please.. When i updated my z2 to the latest version, it works fine for only 2 hours approx, but then the auto rotate screen doesnt work even when i restart clear cache and on and off the screen rotation and even the smart screen.. Please fix sony.. The stock version of z2 is much better.. Thanks!

I fixed my auto rotate issues by disabling and re-enabling 'Google voice typing'

You can find it under Settings > Language & input.

If it works for you please let me know.

I'm hoping this bug is resolved with the upcoming Android L (Lollipop 5.0 5.1) update coming in February / March

I am also having this problem. Has anyone found another solution for this yet? I tried this solution to no avail. I dont know how to uninstall the keyboard update. Mine worked for a while but now 2 months later it stopped working. Rest of phone works perfectly just not the screen flip, and i checked to make sure it was automatic

Ok, i finally fixed it. Maybe you guys can try this too. I disabled autoflip and turned off my phone. Cleared my cache, and then turned on my phone. then restarted again. then turned the feature on and it worked fine. keep in mind i have all the latest patches. My guess is that sony patched the problem
