z3 looping notification sound until swypes away

I just upgraded to lollipop and now on some of my apps like gmail it plays the sound until I Swype down my notification bar. Any ideas?

Strange,can you check if the same occurs in safe mode?

In safe mode. Gmail and push bullet do it until I slide down the notification slide. It's odd it never did it until I updated to 🍭

It sounds like you have selected a notification sound with a long duration like a song or similar. Open Gmail and go to [menu] -> Settings -> [your gmail address] -> Inbox sound & vibrate -> Sound -> [use Sound picker] and select a file with a shorter duration like one of the preinstalled notification sounds.

the notifacation tone i use is sinedelay.ogg that is 2 seconds long. Its odd that its only happend after the upgrade. i have attached the file.sinewave.ogg

I checked your file and the reason for this is that it contains the meta data tag "ANDROID_LOOP=true".

I removed the tag for you and i'll send you the new file.

Ive never come across that beefore in a file for android.

Any way after you said that I opend the file in audacity and and a look at the meta data and yea your right the android loop meta data is there.

It was probly my fault in usuing a default ring tone for a notifaction.

Yes, that's the one. Removing that or setting it to false will stop the file from looping. But i found that not all meta data editors will show this tag. Like you i used Audacity to remove it.
