"operating system not found" is an error message shown by the BIOS if it cannot find an operating system.
Typically this is shown when the hard disc drive is empty or not found.
Since you state that this happens just after you dropped your VAIO, I'd assume that the hard drive was damaged. If you are lucky, it was just disconnected.
Start your VAIO by pushing the power button, then press the F2 button when you see the VAIO logo on the screen. You'll enter the BIOS. If the BIOS lists the hard drive capacity of your drive, you know the drive is still connected, which is actually bad news in this case since it means the hard drive is very likely broken and will need to be replaced. Even if your VAIO is still under warranty, physical damage isn't covered by the warranty.
Depending on what model you have, there is a door on the bottom which allows quick an easy replacement of the hard drive is possible for anyone who's handy with a screwdriver. Hard drives are cheaper than the logistics and labour plus parts price in a repair.
