I'm finding Music Center for PC pretty awful in terms of speed of transfer of music to the NW-A35. To me, iTunes seems much quicker doing the same thing with an iPod.
What is the fastest way to transfer music to the NW-A35?
I wouldn't mind so much (using Music Center) if I could tag albums I want to transfer to the NW-A35 rather than laboriously having to keep my finger on the Cntrl key and click albums I want from the very long list I have. In iTune you just tick a box as you scroll down your album or artist list. Perhaps I've missed something but that function seems absent from Music Center. If I can find download site for Media Go would this perform better?
Any help or advice appreciated.

Hi Stephenbtc,
To be honest, I wouldn't compare the transfer speed of the iTunes to an iPod to the speed of transferring from the PC to a Walkman as they don't use the same type of connection.
However, I found another way to transfer the content from your PC to the Walkman, if you can give this a try and let us know if you noticed any difference in the speed.
You can transfer the content using Windows Explorer as explained here: https://bit.ly/2Ew92BB.

Hi The_Black_Rose,
Thanks for the link - I’ve seen this already, tried it and it’s still slow.
Understand about connection types but the transfer rate to an iPod is quicker - that’s either a consequence of the software used to transfer music (iTunes), the cable (lightening rod), or the iPod, or all 3.
My overall feeling is that Sony can improve the software for music transfer to a Walkman. It’s pretty user hostile in terms of selecting music for transfer. Tick box options are essential especially where the music library is large. Try manipulating 4000 CDs and you’ll see what I mean.
I know that if I put a 200 GB SD card in the Walkman and select 200 GB of music for transfer the process will take a long time. It’s much like it is backing stuff up to an external hard drive. Transfer and writing speeds are determined by the hardware. That said though transferring 16 GB to an iPod via iTunes on my PC (only 3 months old) is very quick.
Oh well, until Sony think it’s worthwhile investigating this (others have posted issues) I’ll just have to live with it.
Hi stephenbtc,
I see where you're coming from. I'll be passing your feedback to Sony in the meantime.
