You know that the final image from raw data depend by the "profile" you choose. The profile change color render, but also the contrast. Is possible that the profile integrated had more contrast than the one you use in your postprocessing workflow, so the highlight blinked in camera because in that profile push the contrast and burn high light, but in the raw they are save.   The same you can observe in "zebra" function: also if you set 100% highlight, in raw file you can save more than zebra say.   Anyway those are great tool that help a lot to save photos. ... I suppose that there is a misunderstanding.. For stills (photo) what you can choose from camera menù is the picture size in Mpixels. It’s not the file size in MByte. Try to set RAW only. It could be a difference on jpg management on playback.   At the base, the EVF has no problem because menu (that has high contrast) is well displayed. So it’s not an hardware issue. Probably is a difference in software, and we are looking at that ... View more

It seem at all a compression of image. The more evidence in EVF vs LCD could be the highest contrast of oled inside EVF.   For me it’s not an issue of the EVF. Are you using uncompressed raw in both cameras, and without “+ JPG” option? ... View more

Do you have a different sony camera (with ibis, of corse) to compare “noise” of coils? “clunk” when ibis is powered is perfectly normal obviously. Actually I expected a lot of software update for A7iv due to his great (?) hardware power abled to be developed (such as for A1, also if I don't have but it's the reference of what sony can do with his platform). In the real world no new function or really better function has come. The only "main update" is just for the creator app's compatibility (I found a lot of differences on the usability of the "standard" functions of the camera, not all in the better direction, but it's only my opinion).   At this point, with an hardware 2 years old, I'm not sure that Sony is developping any more A7iv. Maybe that a A7v (to be competitive with R6 and Z8) is coming.   So, also if your question is a little bit hard to answer, my opinion is "not, focus stack and pixel shift probably are reserved to "R" line in this moment" ...
