Xperia Z2 mesaage application problem

Yesterday a message sent to my phone from a standart company, something like a commercial text message. But when i click on the notification it says message didn't load, so i thougth that if i turn on internet maybe message will be loaded (because i guess it could be a mms) after a while, phone vibrate and a message notification appears again but when i click on the message there is an error message appears which says "Error: Message not found". But on the main screen message icon has a "1" symbol although there is no new message on the mailbox. Since yesterday, whenever a message sent to my phone, it shows two message but when i go to message app there is only one message shown. How can i clear "1" icon on the message app icon?

Hi Koray987,

Welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

Did you try clearing the data from the Messaging app or was it from another one entirely?

Are you able to see the message within messages? if so can you delete the convo?

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thank you for your attention, i know i'm new on forum but i assure you i have already checked all the topics about that problem and only i could find this one : http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xperia-Z2/Unread-message-essage-badge-error/td-p/832201

Yesterday firstly i forced to stop messaging app, then cleared the data and cache memory. After that i disabled the app, then restart phone and enabled the app. As soon as i opened the app, there is a message notification appeared, which says "Error: Message not found"

I also deleted all the messages and no messages left on app, but still it showed a message notification. The interesting part is, after all the disabling, enabling, deleting data processes, finally, there is a mms message shown in message app. but i can't erase the message. It is shown as "Unknown sender"

I've just done as instructed to get rid of the yellow 1 over messages - I disabled and re enbled the app, I've now lost all my text messages - is there anyway I can get them back or are they gone forever?

This worked for me too! Thank you! It was driving me crazy and I had tried everything else! Delete cache, delete data, delete conversations, reboot, update, restart, safe mode, everything! It's some kind of error report that comes via sms but the messaging app can't seem to read it. As soon as I installed SMS Pro there was a text there that wasn't showing up in messaging and bingo, yellow circle of madness gone! Thanks!
