Hi all
We have a VAIO PCG-K295hp which is an old laptop but was getting really buggy and eventually was so slow it was unuasble so i decided to wipe it and put a fresh copy of XP back onto it to see if it was ok after.
It has worked but now wifi does not work so im assuming this is becouse it needs sony drivers reinstalled to so xp can work with sonys hardware, can anybody confirm for me this is the case and if so where i can get the drivers from?
Thanks in advance

Hi,
Yes, the wifi and several other functions require the Sony Drivers and the Sony Utilities.
You can download the Original Drivers Package and the Original Utilities Package from the support pages for your Vaio here: -
http://support.vaio.sony.eu/computing/vaio/downloads/preinstalled/index.aspx?l=en_GB&m=PCG-K295HP
The WirelessLAN driver will be in the Original Drivers Package.
Some of these will have subsequent updates which are available under the 'Updates' Tab.
If you have any problems, just come back here.

Hi
I have downloaded the driver file in the link and now the wifi works fine there are a few other things though when on the internet the pages seem to zoomed in and also the function keys dont work, i have tried to install other drivers in the package but im not sure what all the icons are and there doesnt seem to be an install icon for all the others there is a monitor icon in the package but i cant see an icon to actually install the drivers.
any ideas thanks
Hi.
Those drivers without a Setup.exe need to be installed from within Device Manager using the 'Have Disc' method and manually pointing the installer to the .INF file in the driver package. Have a look at the guide here: -

To get the function keys to work you need to download the Original Utility Package and install the 8 Utility Programs that are required for your Vaio to function properly.
